Laurie Cole
As a native of Los Angeles, Laurie Cole grew up to love the two of the greatest dimensions in Hollywood: Film and Fitness.
As an actress, she is constantly aware of body image and everything connected to fitness. Formerly a modern dancer at The Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Cole discovered the addiction of Spinning. She became a certified Master Instructor and has been teaching for over eight years in Los Angeles and New York. Currently she teaches exclusively for SoulCycle on the Upper West Side and in the Hamptons.
As a natural progression from fitness, Cole began counseling her students on nutrition and lifestyle: This was an organic approach to how the mind, body and spirit connected for her own life.
Inspired by Pamela Schein Murphy's attitude on all that life encompasses as well as having lived through more than twenty years of her own grandmothers' battle with breast cancer, it was clear to Cole that the next step in life was to give back and do something meaningful. Through the work of The R.E.S.T Initiative, she hopes to inspire the rest of the planet to take risks and find their own connection to health and well-being.
